How to play
Hidden beneath the grid is a fixed number of mines. Reveal the safe cells without setting one off.
- Reveal
- Tap a cell to reveal it. A number tells you how many of the eight surrounding cells hide mines. A blank cell opens up a whole clearing.
- Flag
- Long-press (or switch to Flag mode) to mark a suspected mine. Flags help you keep track and let you chord — you don't need them to win.
- Chord
- Tap a revealed number whose surrounding flags match it to open all the remaining neighbours at once. If a flag is wrong, you'll hit a mine.
- Win
- Reveal every cell that isn't a mine. Your best time is your score.
- Lose
- Reveal a mine and the game ends. Gridelune is classic: no undo, no hints — but your first tap is always safe.
FAQ
- Is there an undo or a hint?
- No. Gridelune is deliberately hardcore-classic so your wins stay honest.
- What is the Daily?
- One 16×16 board seeded from the date — the same for every player worldwide, fully offline. Winning it on consecutive days builds a streak.
- Can a board force a guess?
- Occasionally, yes — that's authentic classic Minesweeper. Your first tap is always safe and opens a clearing.
- Does the game collect any data?
- No. It is fully offline with no accounts, ads, tracking, or analytics. SeePrivacy.
- What is the tip jar?
- An optional gift handled by the App Store or Play Store. It unlocks nothing — every feature is already yours.
